I thought I had all my bases covered while promoting my book 35 Miles From Shore. But now that I’m involved in online marketing I discovered that I had missed the opportunity to create a fan page for the book. Turns out that I should have done this long ago.
Note to other authors: Don’t neglect Facebook as a marketing opportunity. It’s free and may even be better than a dedicated blog.
Fortunately, the book continues to do well both domestically and internationally. I recently went back to the people who had done the original eBook conversion and had them do an enhanced version specifically formatted for eReaders like the Kindle and iPad. The Kindle version and ePub versions of the book are exceeding my expectations.
