Caribbean Visit Part 2

I was in the Caribbean for a full week. While I did have a busy media schedule, I was able to find a little time for some R & R. Poolside You can’t go to the Caribbean and not enjoy a little time by the pool.

This is a picture of The Mill Resort & Suites in Aruba. I also did a little gambling, but that’s another story.

One of the cool things for Balsey and me during our visit was being recognized. More than a few people came up to us during our stay to say that they had seen us on TV or in the paper.

We also spent some time with our hosts Frederic and Monica and their two kids as well as different members of the Aruba Flying club.

Special thanks to Greg, Harvey, Justin, and the other Flying club members that we met.

The last slide show was scheduled for Tuesday evening at Aruba University. We were hoping for a large crowd and we weren’t disappointed. Aruba slideshow As you can see in this picture, every seat was taken. We even had people sitting on the steps.

There were no books available in Aruba (we sold out at the book signing), so Balsey and I signed bookmarks after the presentation.

Had there been books available, I’m sure we could have sold a few.

Aruba University was one of our sponsors. They donated the room and equipment.

I had an opportunity to meet a lot of people on this visit who had some connection to the story. Among the people we met were friends and distant relatives of some of the ALM crew members. We also met several ex ALM stewardesses.

A lot of people wanted to have their picture taken with us. I promised the two gentleman shown here that I would put their picture on my blog. Aruba slideshow 2

We left for home the next day. The whole trip was a memorable visit thanks to the many people who went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. For myself, Balsey and Edith, we thank our hosts and all of our sponsors.

I hope to visit the southern Caribbean again soon.

Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?

I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Appreciate it!

I recommend WordPress. And make sure you add social media into the mix.
