Jeannie Larmony Turns 95

Jeannie Larmony, who was a passenger aboard ALM Flight 980, recently turned 95. She was 56 at the time of the accident and in her late eighties when I interviewed her. I don't know if she is the oldest survivor of the accident, but I'm betting that she is.

Jeannie Larmony with book After interviewing a number of survivors, I came to the conclusion that Jeannie was most likely the last person out of the aircraft before it sank. She is show in this picture with her autographed copy of the book.

Happy belated birthday Jeannie!

Click below to hear a short audio clip of Jeannie descibing the monments just before ditching.
