This post looks at a couple of different ways to embed video in a post. I’m also trying to troubleshoot one method that doesn’t seem to be working. I’m also using the jetpack plugin.
In this first example you simple copy the URL from the youtube watch page and put it on its own line (must not be a link)
The second example uses a shortcode. Here’s two examples:

So option two works but option one from the wordpress codex doesn’t.
A third option is to copy and past the old embed code. So here’s how that works along with my theme song.
